In order to do that, is necessary to increase income or reduce expenses; much better if we can do both.

Let’s start by reducing expenses; here are some useful advices:

1. Identify and cut down unnecessary expenses.

Instead of subscribe to a Gym, you can walk, run at the park or do bike-riding. If you smoke, you can reduce the amount of cigarettes or make them last twice the usual time; much better if you quit the habit.

If you have subscriptions you don’t use, cancel them. Cable plans, newsletters and magazines you don’t read much.

2. Repair

There are always objects at home or the office, you can repair at a low cost. Only when the repairing cost exceeds 35% the object’s value, consider to buy a new one.

3. Prefer Home-made cooking

If you can, prefer eating at your home. Or you can consider to take food from your home to the office, of course if the company’s policies allow it.

4. Drink water

Prefer to drink water above other beverages, you’re not only saving but also cleaning your body. Water can make you feel satisfied so you don’t have to eat a lot.

If you like coffee, stop buying it at coffee shops. You can buy a coffee pot.

5. Transportation

Promote the use of public transport, drive less or share your rides with friends.

If you don’t travel far every day, you can consider bike or motorcycle instead of car.

6. Compare before buying.

At the supermarket, self-brand products are a lot cheaper.

7. Turn the light off

Use only those lights you REALLY need and turn the rest off. Consider to read more books.

Search low energy consumption home equipment. In doing so, you’re also taking care of the planet.

Consider that, saving means only to use those things that represents a benefit for you.
